Branford Youngs Pond
Directions: Exit 55 off I 95, take Rt 1 to Rt 146, there are several turns
distance approximately 5 miles. You're getting close when you see the L.I.Sound.
Open sunrise to sunset. Trees, parking, trashcans. Comments: Dogs must be leashed on the trails in the field they can run free - great swimming pond for the dogs.
Cheshire Mixville Recreation Area
We have been advised that this park is NOT an off-leash area.
If you bring your dog, make sure that he or she remains on a leash.

Fairfield Mohegan Lake

Comments: Beaches on the lake, trails, waterfalls.
Glastonbury J.B. Williams Park
Open sunrise to one hour after sunset.
Benches, trees, parking, restrooms, poopbags, trashcans, water. Comments: Only the UPPER pond area is off-leash.
All other areas, including trails, are leash-required, and park wardens do enforce this.
Meriden Guifridda Park
Located on Bee and Baldwin (Hunter Golf Club)
Open sunrise to 1/2 hour before sunset.

Milford Eisenhower Park
Located within Eisenhower Park at North Street.
Open dawn to dusk. Fenced, benches, trees, parking, restrooms. Comments: This is a large park that has a fenced area where dogs can be off-leash. Note: Dogs must be leashed in all other areas of the park.
Norwalk Cranbury Park on Grumman Avenue
Open daylight hours, tables, trees, parking, restrooms, water, trashcans, shelter. Comments: Trails and open fields.
Southbury Off-Leash Area
Chairs, stream, poop bags. Comments: Park is fenced in on three sides.
Back of the park has a river for dogs to swim.
Basket with toys for the dogs in center of field. Benches throughout the riverside.
Table and Chairs in the center of the field. Driving Directions: 84 to exit 15. Take right off exit, third light (Rt. 67)
take left. About a half mile down, turn right into O&G Industries.
Park is on right, about a hundred yards down. See map.
Taylor Farm on Beach Road
Open all hours, partially fenced, trees, parking. Comments: Large field and trails, alot of good dog owners who have well-socialized dogs.
