½ pound raw liver (any kind)
2 large eggs
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup corn meal
2 tablespoons honey
3 cloves garlic
add milk to make soft pasty dough,
if needed, put the liver, and garlic in food processor and puree,
add eggs and honey, puree until smooth
then add the flour and cornmeal.
the dough should be soft and sticky, about the consistency of
a drop cookie batter, add a little milk if to stiff
grease a jelly roll pan well, pat the mixture into the pan,
it should be about 1/3 to ½ inch thick
bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes, leave in warm oven
for 10 minutes after the heat is turned off
turn onto cutting board and score with knife into one inch
squares. these can easily be broken into smaller tidbits as
needed for training. store in refrigerator in plastic bag or
freeze.
they keep very well (the honey is a natural preservative),
and does not crumble unless you overcook
